Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a great game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the casino, not like most other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their money.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, beginners will be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make quick decisions.

It’s also simpler to participate in for an extended time with only a tiny amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the croupier is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
