Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the west in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the casino, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete against other players. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers taking their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, beginners are able to take their time and plan while not having to make hasty decisions.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with just a small bit of money since, to lose, both of your hands must be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
